Frenkiel and Ponti were an odd duo emerging from post war U.S and Italy. They met in the swinging Amalfi Coast of the early seventies. Both were deeply involved in the music and art scene. Frenkiel was a lover of the arts, curating exhibitions, writing stories, and he was the manager and co-founder of Napoli Centrale, the group that started the Neapoltian jazz-rock explosion in the seventies. Ponti was an artist, a painter and crafter, spending her life exploring the realms and bounderies of her art. They then moved to Montenero Val Cocchiara in the mountains of Molise where they enteretained numerous members of the arts, living “a secluded life full of visitors.”
The Foundation IS the continuation of that life.
